Danny Derrick, AIA is principal architect of Derrick Architects, LLC. He joined the firm Wigodsky & Associates Architects, LLC in 2005 and was promoted to Vice President in 2011. Given his accomplishments to the firm, in 2018 he was named Principal and the firm’s name was updated to Wigodsky & Derrick Architects. Principal Dan Wigodsky retired from the firm in 2020 and Danny continued the firm's practice of architecture with the firm's updated name, Derrick Architect, LLC. Danny has been involved in the design and construction of all of the firm’s projects since 2005, including projects ranging from a small private residence to the recently completed new 317,000 square foot, $100 million K-12 school campus. Danny has over 23 years of experience in residential and commercial architecture in both traditional and modern genres. He is educated in classical details and proportions and his detailing is enhanced by his experience in construction. He has developed long-term client relationships by listening to the clients and inventing on their behalf. Danny received his Bachelors of Science in Architecture from the University of Texas at San Antonio, is a licensed architect in the State of Texas, and a member of the American Institute of Architects and the Institute of Classical Architecture and Art.
